A storm damage inspection is the diagnostic step that comes before any repair work – a thorough, documented assessment of your roof's condition after severe weather, whether or not damage is visible from the ground. This is often the first call homeowners make, sometimes just to be safe, sometimes because they already suspect a problem.
We inspect roofs across Erie, IL after any storm event – hail, high winds, or heavy rain – for homeowners who want to know their roof's actual condition rather than guess. This is also the step insurance companies expect before approving a claim, so getting it done properly and promptly matters if you plan to file one.
We check the entire roof surface, including shingles, flashing, vents, gutters, and the roof deck where accessible, looking for damage that's easy to miss from ground level – granule loss, hairline cracks, lifted seals, or bruising from hail impact. Every finding gets photographed and documented, giving you a clear record of the roof's condition. If we find damage, we'll walk you through what needs repair versus what's cosmetic, and we can provide this documentation directly to your insurance company if you're filing a claim.
This inspection is typically free, since it's the first step toward determining what repair work, if any, is actually needed.
